Tottenham’s Didier Zokora has left the club and joined Sevilla for an undisclosed fee.
The Ivory Coast international made 134 appearances for the London side after moving from St Etienne for £8.2 million following the 2006 World Cup.
It looked as if the move had stalled after Sevilla baulked at Spurs’ valuation but an agreement was eventually reached with Zokora signing a four year deal.
In other transfer news, Celtic have confirmed the signing of striker Marc-Antoine Fortune from Nancy on a three-year contract.
The 28-year-old moves to Glasgow in a deal worth approximately £3.8million.
Manchester United have signed French winger Gabriel Obertan from Bordeaux on a four-year contract.
The 20-year-old had also been linked with Arsenal as well as Italian sides Inter Milan and AC Milan.
Obertan spent the second half of last season on loan at Ligue 1 side Lorient, where he made 15 appearances and scored once.
And Robin van Persie has signed a new long-term contract at Arsenal.
The 25 year old Dutch striker, was the Gunners’ leading scorer last season, with 20 goals from 44 appearances, and the deal is reportedly worth £80,000 a week.
