World Cup Team Football Boots – Slovakia
FIFA Ranking: 34

Path Ahead of the World Cup
Slovakia proved they weren’t afraid to get into the grit of football during their qualification. Topping their group ahead of Slovenia, Northern Ireland, Poland and the notoriously trick Czech Republic. Slovakia didn’t do it with style though, their team took more pleasure in shutting out their opponents than they did sticking goals past them.
Key Men
Robert Vittek and Martin Skrtel
Robert Vittek is the most experienced player in the Slovak squad and the 28 year old striker also holds the honour of being the top scorer of this generation of players with 21 goals in 70 appearances.
Best known as the no-nonsense Liverpool Centre Half; Martin Skrtel plays the same position for his county. Skrtel also has a happy knack of chipping in goals from corners and free-kicks. If he has one weakness, at only 25 Skrtel still has much to learn about being a centre half and can occasionally be a bit naive in possession.
The Gaffer
Vladimír Weiss has made himself a national hero for guiding the Slovaks to their first ever major international tournament. His son, also called Vladimír Weiss, plays for Manchester City, and is considered one of the brightest talents in European football.
