WES BROWN TRIALS CONCAVE IN PHILLY

After the huge response to the news that Darren Fletcher had made a switch to adidas from Nike, we thought it was well worth reporting on some more football boot goings-on in the Manchester United camp!

It seems that long-time adidas Predator wearer Wes Brown has started to trail the Concave brand whilst on Pre-Season duty in America.

The versatile defender was first spotted in the Concave PT Classics in the previous game against Celtic, but the fleeting appearance left us wondering if it was the real deal, or just another one-off like John Terry’s infamous…game in the adiPure III‘s last season (What, you mean Terry’s been infamous for something else in the last 12 months?)

But by turning out in the Concave PT Classic again, it would seem that Brown might be trialling the boots ahead of next season.

This, of course, would be big news for Concave if it turns into a proper boot deal. Having two of Manchester United’s most versatile players on their books would be a great coup for the relatively new brand.

John O’Shea did mention in our interview with him earlier in the year that some of the other guys at Manchester United had, indeed, trailed the boots – could Brown have been one of the players in question?

We also think they look pretty sharp with the new Manchester United Home Shirt 2010-11

Our friends at Concave are keeping quiet, but as soon as we have news we’ll let you know!
