After an extensive ‘Wil he/Won’t he’ period, Concave have finally confirmed the capture of Manchester United’s Wes Brown.
The capture of long-time adidas Predator PowerSwerve wearer Brown is an exciting move for Concave, who with John O’Shea now have two of Manchester United’s most versatile players on their books.
Wes Brown was first spotted way back in July playing against Celtic and Philadelphia Union in the new PT+ Classic, giving the boots a run-out in United’s pre-season tour of the States, before puttin pen-to-paper with the new brand this weekend.
When Footy-Boots.com had the chance to meet John O’Shea, the Ireland International mentioned that some of the team at United had been trying out his football boots, so maybe O’Shea is part of the reason Concave were able to snag another Manchester United player so quickly!
Following his signing, Brown said, ”Being a professional footballer means I˘€žËm always looking to maximise my performances and gain an edge on my competition. Playing for Manchester United means that you have to perform at the highest level and I was looking for boots that could meet that challenge. I˘€žËm confident that with Concave, and the advanced technology and research that has gone into their football boots, I˘€žËve found them. I am really happy to become part of the Concave family and hope to be for the rest of my football career.”
As the latest England professional player to join with Concave, Wes Brown joins his fellow Manchester United teammate and Republic of Ireland international John O˘€žËShea, as well as Portsmouth striker Danny Webber and Crystal Palace midfielder Neil Danns.
Commenting on Brown˘ signing, Concave CEO Jim Grimes (Who Footy-Boots.com interviewed a little while ago)' said, ”We are delighted to welcome Wes to Concave and look forward to developing a great relationship with him. Wes is one of the best defenders in the world and to have him think so highly of our products and sign with us is a great validation of what Concave is about. The things that drive him Ĺ› performance and passion for football Ĺ› are the same values that Concave epitomises.”
It’s a shame that this deal for Wes Brown & Concave comes a few weeks after Brown announced his retirement from international football, otherwise we might have seen the PT+ Classic football boots at Wembley within the next couple of months.
