Alex Ferguson is hoping has not suffered a serious knee injury.
Manchester United’s Serbian central defender Nemanja Vidic injured his knee in the 2-0 win away to Roma in the Champions League.
Vidic fell awkwardly during the first half, after jumping his studs caught in the turf and despite having treatment on the pitch, he was replaced on 34 minutes of the tie.
Alex Ferguson said:
I pray it’s not serious because he is such an integral part of our team,” said United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
It might just be a nerve injury but we can’t be sure at this moment.
Vidic left the stadium on crutches last night amid concerns it might be ligament damage.
