Manchester United have confirmed central defender Nemanja Vidic will be sidelined for only two to three weeks due to his knee injury.
Nemanja Vidic, 26, fell awkwardly during Manchester United’s away win against Roma, ROMA 0 V 2 MANCHESTER UNITED, in the quarter final Champions League tie on Tuesday night.
After having a scan yesterday, it was revealed that the injury was not as serious as initially thought.
Man Utd website: “There is no major damage to left knee, and he will be out for two to three weeks.”
Alex Ferguson, was initially concerned that Vidic could miss the remainder of the season, but it seems Vidic will only miss the Premier League games against Middlesbrough and Arsenal and the home leg of the Champions League’s quarter-final tie with Roma.
