Those of you regulars may well remember that we’ve caught up with former professional footballer Robbie Savage last month

…and as well as talking about life after football, the modern game and – of course – football boots with the Twitterholic-turned-football-pundit, we were also talking about the ‘Transform Your Patch’ Campaign.

For those who missed it, the premise is simple; every Pepsi or Britvic drink purchased (with the Transform Your Patch logo) represents a real 1cm/2 patch of land somewhere in the UK that’s in need of some' renovation.

Whether it gets turned into a 5-a-side pitch, skate park, picnic area or playground, though – is up to you!

You can log on to the Transform Your Patch website (link at the bottom) and find a patch of land in your area that’s up for some transformin’ and vote for what it becomes.

The real twist, however, comes in the form of the bonus awarded to the the team who amasses the most votes before the campaign closes in September. The activity that proves the most popular will get a cool additional £100,000 to spend on' renovation.

We’ve all walked or driven past an old rec or park that’s in need of some TLC, so why not make sure that your area gets a brand new 5-a-side pitch to break in your new Astroturfs, on?

“Watch four celebrity faces go head to head in regeneration campaign Transform Your Patch. With your help they have the chance of winning an additional £100,000 prize fund to enhance outdoor projects across the UK. Go to'' to place your vote now!”
