We’ve seen some great videos over the years showing off the boot creation process, and Mizuno’s latest effort – detailing the creation of the Mizuno Morelia Neo – is right up there with the best.

At the core of the Morelia Neo are two of Mizuno’s key ideals; heritage and innovation.
Classic styling on a boot that weighs under 200g, the decades-old Morelia soleplate re-imagined in a single-piece polymer and Kangaroo leather working in harmony with synthetic materials are all of examples of the Morelia Neo‘s duality.
It’s interesting, then, that this is also reflected in the creation of Mizuno’s lightest ever K-Leather boot. In this great new video, we see a Mizuno designer painstakingly drawing out the silhouette and details of the Neo – before scanning it in to a computer to design the colourways.
It’s from there we see that Mizuno are creating a special pair for Brazilian striker Hulk – using a mix of high-speed stitching machines and hand tools to create the perfect finish.
Mizuno will be hoping that this particular pair will be able to kick-start their star Brazilian asset’s time at Zenit, which has seen only two goals in nine appearances – and no small number of controversies.

mizuno has a mixed soleplate for the neo on their website. Looks pretty good…
