New Zenit St Petersburg striker Hulk finds himself in another Mizuno advert, but this one is unlike any of the others. Or any other advert you’ve seen, for that matter.
Following on from his designs at the Mizuno Performance Centre in London this summer, Mizuno have once again enlisted the services of World renowned artist Hidekichi Shigemoto to create this incredibly unique ad.
Using his traditional brushstroke painting method, Shigemoto’s art is brought to life through innovative animation and video editing – bringing Mizuno’s leading athletes to life very his art. Or is his art being brought to life with sport? Woah. Deep.
As well as Brazil’s Hulk, other athletes being captured in this striking monochrome video are Christian Malcolm, Yukiko Akaba, Laslo Nagy, Viran Moros, Cristian Ugale, Jordan larson and Federica Pellegrini.
We know it would go against the campaign, but we’d love to see a video created in this style dedicated to all three of Mizuno’s leading football boots – Oh, and some Black/White-out colourways to tie in would really top it off!
