Ashley Cole headed down to NikeTown in London earlier this week to spend some time with the Nike iD team and design his own pair of bespoke football boots!
The England & Chelsea defender recently switched his football boots of preference from the Nike CTR360 II to the new Tiempo Legend IV, but it seems he’s still after something a little more unique as he heads to the Nike iD design studio.
Starting off with a chat with Anayo, one of the Nike design specialists, we get a run down on all the features you can customise on the new Tiempo Legend IV; from the laces to the outsole to the width, the new Nike iD version of the classic Tiempo is one of the most versatile ever to appear on Nike’s sportswear tailoring service.
Then, it’s down to business when the England international arrives, as Cole builds himself some new football boots from the ground up, talking us though what he likes most about the new incarnation of the Tiempo; with the toe and heel counter being particular favourites of the former Gunner.
Fans may remember the above video of Cole doing something similar for the original Nike CTR360.
Cole talked about the aspects of his game and his love of his Nike iD football boots, but the whole thing was rather poorly timed as the CTR360 II launched less than a month later and Cole never made an appearance in them.
We hope that Cole’s made-to-order Tiempo Legend IV‘s fare a bit better and get some time on the pitch, though with those wild colours, we’re starting to doubt it already!
What do you think to Cole’s bespoke football boots?

Good to see Ca$hley keeping the green of money on his customized boots.
I watched the video of him design them and they looked alright but not as good as my ones
