With all the talk of 4 el Clasicos, and the intense rivalry (and even hatred) between Real Madrid & Barcelona, it’s refreshing to see something a little more fun ahead of tomorrow’s Copa Del Rey Final – courtesy of adidas!

In this light-hearted viral, we see Real Madrid’s midfield maestro Xabi Alonso clamber onto a rooftop in Spain, scribble something on an adidas SpeedCell football, lace up his football boots and smash his football off into the horizon.

The ball lands in a stylish rooftop garden, where David Villa, Dani Alves and Xavi are relaxing. Alves catches the ball and discovers Alonso’s message; ‘Hala Madrid!‘.

So begins a back and forth of Barca and Real players trash-talking via a football all over Spain, until the ball finally reaches Lionel Messi, who’s shopping in an adidas store.

The Latino soundtrack and fun vibe of the ad definitely makes it one of our favourite videos to come out of adidas this year, and the star-power involved is phenomenal!

One interesting talking point is Dani Alves’ presence in the ad. Given all the confusion over the Brazilian’s contract after he was seen switching football boots earlier this year; seeing him in an adidas video means it’s now safe to say the attacking full-back is on the German brand’s books.

Our favourite moment in the whole video has to be right at the end, we can only imagine how awkward it must have been for the adidas film crew to ask Messi to stand in front of all those Real Madrid jerseys!

Any thoughts on this video? What was your favourite moment? Who do you think will be crowned Copa Del Rey winners on Wednesday night?
