Few football boot releases set collective tongues wagging like a new Mercurial, and we’re definitely finding the new Nike Mercurial Vapor IX a drool-worthy addition to the legacy.
Having just snagged a pair of the new Neptune Blue / Volt/ Tidepool colourway, we broke out the camera to give them the full video treatment and show off some of what the new Vapor IX has to offer.
Following in the footsteps of the widely-lauded Vapor VIII is no easy task for Nike, but despite using many of the features of the previous incarnation on their latest model, the Swoosh have managed to carve out a unique identity for the IX with some nifty design.
A space age-looking new upper and dual-density traction plate are just two of the new performance updates to Nike’s signature speed football boots – see how they, and everything else new on the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX stack up to their predecessor in our exclusive video hands-on and first impressions.
Hi Kyle
Have you heard reports of the studs on the outside front of the boot breaking? We’re mine a one off?
Hello!
I just bought the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX
They’re size 43, in length they fit perfecly to my foot, but in width they are very tight and make me feel a bit uncomfortable.
My question is, will they stretch or should I buy a size bigger?
Thanks for your help!:)
