Darren Bent has been using his Twitter account to tell the world about his newly designed Speciali’s and now we can reveal that another of the big name Umbro ambassadors will be getting unique football boots to wear in the very near future.
Chelsea and Portugal start Deco will be sporting the Speciali’s with an exclusive soleplate design entitled ‘Believe’, which was created by acclaimed contemporary artist Stuart Semple.
The idea behind this collaboration began months ago, when Semple was invited up to look at Umbro’s archives as his inspiration. Drawing on Manchester’s unique cultural heritage, iconic football imagery and ideas of strength and passion, Stuart created a piece of art that brought all these elements together.

Deco also has his name embroidered on the lace cover of the White / Black / Gold colourway football boots.
Speaking about his new footwear, Deco said:
It’s fantastic, they’re really different boots with a really great design, and I’m looking forward to wearing them in the next game I play in.
I’m sure the other players in the dressing room will be very impressed.
It’s understood that a limited number of the boots will be made available for public purchase.
Umbro’s reveal of Deco’s football boots follows the highly successful competition that ran at Umbro' where fans used the customization tool to design one-off sole plates for the Speciali.
Again, via Twitter, Sunderland striker Bent announced that he wanted to be part of the experiment, and after putting a few designs to a public vote, the Bent ‘Dynamite’ Speciali was born.
There should be more coming out from Umbro regarding their sole-plate design competition quite shortly.
In the meantime, why not read up on the latest retail Speciali.
