Umbro could put the Speciali 4 in just about any colour combination and it would still look ludicrously good.
So, when they take a colour like royal blue and create the Umbro Speciali 4 – Team Royal, then you’ve got us desperately throwing our money at the screen.
If you know your football boots, you know the Umbro Speciali 4 by now. A modern take on heritage boots, the Double Diamond spin classic styling with all the features needed to keep up with the modern game into an irresistible combination.
Premium leather wraps the forefoot and instep of the Umbro Speciali 4, with quilted stitching on the toes to help cut down on break in time and reduce over-stretching.
A thinner tongue allows for a snug fit and improved ball feel, whilst the lacing is offset to the side ever-so slightly to allow for a massive instep passing area.
Umbro have also integrated a new generation of A-Frame cradle on the Speciali 4, with a dual-layer construction pulling the soleplate closer to the foot for greater traction and stability.
Speaking of which, Umbro have stuck with the tried-and-true conical studs in the forefoot, traction studs in the heel for a combination of mobility and stability, with a torsion bar completing the chassis.
Having started their first season back as technical supplier to Everton, we’d like to think that Umbro were inspired by their new team’s colours with the Umbro Speciali 4 – Team Royal, but – let’s face it – this colourway would look good with just about any kit out there. Except a Liverpool one.
