After seeing their logo fade from the kits of Premier League teams since their sale last year, Umbro are back in England’s top flight as they announce a new long-term kit supplier deal with Everton.
The Toffees have been with Nike for the last two seasons, inheriting the deal from Le Coq Sportif, but will be back in Umbro again after a a six-season absence – short by any standards.
Umbro will have immediately impressed the Goodison faithful by announcing the deal at a fan event with Roberto Martinez, rather than opting for a flashy launch.
A shrewd investment by Umbro, Everton are having a great season so far and the talent at the club has the Toffees slugging it out with the big boys at the top of the table.
Should' Martinez’s Everton continue to ply their attractive brand of football and continue attracting top talent, Umbro could well see their shirts on show in Europe within the next couple of seasons.
Set to commence in the 2014-15 Premier League season and run for five years, what do you think Umbro’s Everton for kit 2014 will be like?
