Umbro have once again gone for a distinctive hue to help their lightest ever football boots stand out on the pitch – introducing the Umbro GT Pro – Yellow/Black/Silver!

Umbro GT Pro - Yellow Black Silver Football Boots

There’s something about speed football boots that inherently makes them able to pull off awesomely bright colourways, and the Umbro GT Pro – Yellow/Black/Silver is no exception to that proud lineage!

When we think of the best lightweight football boots on the planet, we can think of at least one incarnation that has enjoyed a success in yellow – the Ronaldo Yellow/Green 2006 Mercurial Vapor III’s, the Sun/Black adidas F50 adiZero colourway, the Yellow/Black/Chilli Blaze v1.10’s; the list goes on!

So, it’s about time that Umbro got in on the act and whipped up some banana-esque livery for the Umbro GT Pro!

We think that Umbro have done a great job with this latest colourway – rather than going for an all-yellow upper, the instep subtly fades into gunmetal Silver to match the soleplate, whilst the Umbro branding pops off all areas of these football boots in classic black.

Thanks to Kyle Walker’s sneak-peeking of the' Umbro GT Pro – Yellow/Black/Silver during the U-21’s European Championships in June, we already know these lightweight football boots look the business on the pitch – so we expect them to be a big hit amongst the'  Umbro GT Pro‘s sizeable fanbase!

The' Umbro GT Pro has found a much-needed niche in the speed market, undercutting it’s more lucratively-priced competition by hundreds of pounds, despite being exceptionally competitively placed in the weight stakes; tipping the scales at 236g.

Advocates of and convert-ees to the' Umbro GT Pro have also been quick to point out the comparisons to the legendary Mercurial Vapor III – thanks to it’s great fit, no-gimmicks design and single-piece Teijin synthetic upper – all understandable given Nike’s investment in Umbro.

Others have heaped raise on the pricing – with an RRP of well under £100 (or $150), it’s possible to pick up older colourways of these solid football boots for under £40!

Available for Pre-Order now, expect to see the' Umbro GT Pro – Yellow/Black/Silver hitting store shelves early next month!
