In the last of our four videos with the best Nike T90 Laser IV-wearing strikers, Fernando Torres gives us his rather minimal explanation of the ‘Perfect Strike’.
Whilst Pato, Sneijder and Higuain have talked us through glorious bicycle kicks and top-corner stunners, El Nino tells us that the Perfect Strike is simply ‘the one which goes in the net’.
Having suffered a stuttering start to the 2011-12 season, the Spanish international has obviously learnt the value of every single one of his strikes.
Whilst the' Nike T90 Laser IV has bagged his fair share of incredible goals (over-the-shoulder, vs Blackburn, you know the one) Torres’ answer is definitely that of a player humbled by a tough year and some tough luck.
But given his red-hot display in the Champions League last night, perhaps a new pair of football boots is exactly what the World Cup winner needs to force his way back into the Spanish National team ahead of next summer’s European Championships.
With another week to go until he can return to the Premier League, it seems the time out from the title race is doing Torres some good – should the rest of the competition start to worry?
