For the latest Footy Boots video we’ve sought the opinion of the Director of Football at Ryman League One South side, Walton Casuals. Why you might ask? Well, it turns out that the man in question just happens to be one of the most opinionated experts in the game.
In his playing days, Tony Gale had spells at West Ham United and Fulham and also one Premiership winning season at Blackburn Rovers in 1994 / 95.
After he hung up his boots, he made a name for himself as a pundit on London’s Capital Gold radio station before he was snapped up by Sky Sports where he is now considered to be amongst the most erudite and knowledgeable colour men on TV today.
Never short of a decent one liner, Gale gave Footy Boots his opinion on football boots and as you will see for yourself, one thing is very clear….Gale is a stud man, no moulded soles or blades for him!
i once had adidas predators (the ones at the 2006 world cup used by kaka and zidane) and i went to go for a ball that had rolled to a stop and the blades had dug into the ground and a defender barged me in the back near my shoulder and my whole leg twisted around and i tore my hamstring and didn’t play for about 5 months and now i have scar tissue. but i don’t take any notice on what studs i use i just focus on the boot on what is the best for me.
