adidas kick off the international kit frenzy ahead of Euro 2016, with the launch of the Sweden and Denmark kits, but only one will make its way to France.
An all Nordic tie between Sweden and Denmark will determine who progresses through to Euro 2016 in France. Contested over two legs, the first on Saturday 14th November in Sweden, followed by the return in Denmark on Tue 17th November, the games are the perfect time for adidas to release new shirts for both nations.
Sweden Kit 2016
The new Adidas Sweden 2016 home shirt has a yellow base colour with discrete horizontal shaded stripes. Both the simple round necked collar and the trim on the cuffs are blue.
On the left breast is the Swedish FA’s crest whilst on the right breast is the blue Adidas logo.
The Euro 2016 Sweden home kit is completed with a pair of blue shorts with yellow stripes along the sides and the shield on the right thigh compliments the jersey together with a pair of yellow socks.
Denmark Kit 2016
The Danes will be taking to the field in a shirt inspired by their ‘golden period’ during the 1980’2. the new adidas Denmark 2016 home shirt is two tonal red with a white round necked collar and white cuffs.
On the left breast is the Danish crest whilst on the right breast is the white Adidas logo.
The kit is completed with matching red shorts and socks.
It’s interesting to see that the adidas stripes have shifted from the arm and now run along the side of the body. This is likely to be a theme for many of the shirts due to be released for the Euro’s.
