Stuart Pearce - Coach the Coaches

A far cry from his ‘Psycho’ days, Stuart Pearce once again laced up his football boots to take part in a new series of videos from Budweiser dubbed ‘Coach the Coaches’.

The objective is simple; Pearce leads a line-up of all-star managers that have visited non-league clubs up and down the country to offer up coaching advice.

Whilst the videos all clock in at a watchable time, each of the gaffers in the series – including Gus Poyet, Alex McLeish and more – all spent the full session with their adopted club offering up tips to the managers.

Pearce especially seemed to enjoy talking tactics with the manager of Oldham Boro FC, dipping in and out of training sessions to offer up advice to the players.

Whilst not commanding from his old left-back position or barking orders from the touchline, Pearce clearly has no problem capturing an audience with footballers at any level.

The former England international and interim manager still has an air of intensity about him, whether offering one-to-one advice to players or speaking to an audience – certainly a little calmer now he’s not in a managerial hot-seat.
