RONALDO TO MADRID FOR 80M

Manchester United have accepted a world-record bid of 80 million for Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo is turning his back on Manchester United

Manchester United have confirmed that they have accepted an 80 million bid from Real Madrid for Cristiano Ronaldo.

The official club site reads:

ronaldo madrid At Cristiano’s request – who has again expressed his desire to leave – and after discussion with the player’s representatives, United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player.

Matters are expected to be concluded by 30 June. The club will not comment until further notice.

Real president Florentino Perez, now in his second spell at the club, recently broke the world transfer record with the 60m purchase of Kaka from AC Milan earlier this week. Determined to recreate the ‘Galactico’s’, it now seems he will land Cristiano Ronaldo.

Had to happen did’nt it, he will be a loss to the premier league but hes only one player not a whole team. Hasta Luego Ronalo

You have soup kitchens in Zaragoza for homeless people, in a country with 20% unemployment, repossessions of houses at an all time high and a football club is borrowing hundreds of millions euros for these players? i mean thats as bad as in Africa for gods sake, its pretty disgusting if you really think about it, and hes buying these players with shareholders (taxpayers) money. Incredible, Perez is not Abramovich, last time he had the Galacticos, real Madrid were in so much debt they had to sell land owned by the club, and they went through their biggest lack of trophies in history

even though shareholders do pay taxes, they invested money in real madrid so using their money to buy players is expected. that money would have just been used for other needs of the club if he had not bought kaka and ronaldo

where is your proof that Real is paying with taxpayers money? The Spanish government wouldnt allow so much spending of their money AND if it’s so publicly known about this money being used then the FIFA governing body would’ve charged Real somehow because it isnt allowed.

Oh boy it will be fun to watch KAKA and C. Ronaldo play together, I thought that was only possible on PRO EVO SOCCER.

How are Madrid getting all this money?

Huge loss for Man Utd.. Good for the rest of the teams..

The neighbours kids started crying when they heard..

If Madrid add a striker they should be amazing

Time to see who’s going to step up and become a future World Player of the Year.

Incidentally, isn’t it time for Platini to come out and say how immoral Madrid have been? £140m in under a week?

Surely he’ll be outraged and will want to put a stop to this

Im a fellow United fan, have been since 1987.
I will be rather sorry to see him go as he has HELPED bring greatness along to Old Trafford.
In comparison to the £80mil price tag is absolutely ridiculous, I dont care what anybody says, no one in the world is worth that obscene amount of money.
But as for us, United, we have come through thick and thin as a club, and personally I feel that this is a step forward for us. He is a great player, and wish him all the best at real, but what this guy has to understand is that football is a TEAM game, and I feel that Perez at real madrid, will gain the dream team he desires, but a team full of Prima Donnas?? Personally cant see it working!

It seems like United are supplying players to the Bernabau now.

wreackon Fergie is already grooming another future household name.

I thought he was the best player in the year last year. Watching him at the euros changed this for me. If you watch portugals last game, he is responsible for terrible defending and terrible passing which led to two goals. He is the reason portugal were knocked out of the euros. Sure, he can dip the ball..But ive seen him make like 3 decent goals off of free kicks the past few months, and if he spends so much time rpacticing it, he should make them. I think now ibrahemovic and messi are better in everyway. Messi is quicker, a better team play, is smarter when he plays. Ibra is just strong as hell, as fast, finds just amazing ways to score goals.

ronaldo want to go to real for only one reason : revenge against barca for their lost in the CL final. now he can play messi&co in the league and try to retain his world player of the year status

I am a United Fan , one thing is that SAF is not daft he probrably already going to sweep up another fifa player of the world next , as for ronaldo best of luck in madrid

I’m portuguese and a United supporter. I’m happy, because despite the absurd amount, with this money United will certainly bring two or three players who clearly may replace Ronaldo. Here they speak about Benzema. It’s good I think. But what about Zlatan Irahimovic? Sir Alex, keep an eye on him.

The way Man Utd nurtures players is fantastic and Ronaldo is an example. Clubs that develop players such as Man Utd, Barcelona, Arsenal, Ajax, Porto etc do wonders for football. Unfortunately, Real Madrid only buy. They do nothing for football
