Barcelona may have qualified for the Champions League semi final, but there seems to be behind the scenes issues at the club.
The Camp Nou, home to some of the most lauded footballers in the world, Eto’o, Messi, Henry, Ronaldinho, Deco, looks to be in turmoil just as the crescendo of the season approaches.
It really does look like Ronaldinho’s days are numbered at Barcelona. Ronaldinho’s brother and agent was vocal about his contract with Barcelona until 2010 and that he had not spoken with any club about a transfer. However, it now seems as if his agent has been told that hecan now start looking for a new club for the Brazilian star.
Further fuelling the departure of Ronaldinho, are the comments made by Barcelona’s Financial Director Xavier Sala Martin.
Xavier Sala Martin claimed some players are being kept apart from the main squad due to “disguised” injuries.
You just have to look at those players who don’t work, who are doing nothing, who haven’t played for weeks, who have been apart from the group for weeks.
It is unjust that one says that Mr Laporta is not doing anything. These gentlemen, who do not want to work, who are not doing anything, who have not been playing for weeks, have been separated for those weeks. And we disguised it with injuries.
But these gentlemen are separated and we have been trying to isolate them from the rest of the team.
It is though that the players referred to by Martin are Ronaldinho and Deco.
