As a club that plays host to a almost unfair quantity of World Class players, Real Madrid has always been a hotbed of prototype boots that are in testing.
However, even with that in mind we still can’t remember a session with so much new hotness on show.
Stealing the show again was Gareth Bale in the adidas F50 adiZero CrazyLight. These boots are impossible to miss on the pitch, and it’s clear adidas are making a statement of intent by not blacking these out or disguising them as an existing colourway.
The Three Stripes are definitely trying to get people talking ahead if their reveal. And it’s working.
Cristiano Ronaldo was making sure Nike weren’t lagging behind, either, as he broke in a pair of the Mercurial Vapor X.
The Portuguese star donned a blacked-out pair of the Swoosh’s latest at the Veldebebas, giving us a great view of the soleplate.
However, winter training meant we were denied a further look at the Vapor X’s intriguing ‘sock’ that has generated so many rumours of a return to the Superfly.
Iker Casillas might be being left out of the Real Madrid squad, but ‘San Iker’ couldn’t miss out on the new boot-fest in yesterday’s training.
The Spanish national team keeper donned a fresh pair of prototypes of the new adidas Predator, giving us another good look at the ‘zones’ on the top of the boot.
Finally, Karim Benzema rounded out the session training in a new Solar Slime / Black / Vivid Berry F50 adiZero.
We’re not going to dwell on that too much, though, as you’ll be able to see them in their full glory tomorrow morning on Footy-Boots.com
