Given the huge amount of Pink football boots that have cropped up since the infamous Vapor Berry, it takes something special to catch our eye. But thankfully, Puma have pulled something special out of the bag with these incredible Puma v1.11 Pink Limited Editions!
We first brought you news of the Puma v1.11 Pink Limited Edition last month, as Puma teamed up with the WPS league in the US to launch the Puma Project Pink breast cancer awareness campaign.
As part of the launch, some of the biggest teams in Women’s Professional Soccer donned some bright pink kits and boots that they used in official league matches.
From there, some of the athletes boots and kits were auctioned after the game to raise money for this good cause, meaning the Puma v1.11 Pink Limited Edition was a very rare pair of football boots to get hold of!
However, presumably due to outrageous demand, Puma have produced a limited quantity of brand new football boots for sale to the general public in the US!
Available both in the men’s and women’s versions of the v1.11, the Puma v1.11 Pink Limited Edition is everything that you’ve come to know and love about the German brand’s signature speed football boots, with a bold new look.
Even better, these boots are officially backing Project Pink, so every pair will go to increasing awareness and prevention in the fight against breast cancer.
Whilst we’d definitely think twice about stepping onto the pitch this weekend in a pair of the Puma v1.11 Pink Limited Edition, we’ve got to give props to Puma for another great philanthropic project.
Last year saw the brand with the big cat back the UN Year of Biodiversity with the Africa Unity kit, and earlier this year they launched the ECO King i, a pair of football boots that are the most environmentally sustainable ever.
When it comes to fighting some seriously worthwhile causes with the power of football, Puma are way ahead of the pack.
Available from Late September in the US, with the Men’s version costing $179.99 & $169.99 for the women’s, the Puma v1.11 Pink Limited Edition isn’t going to be around forever, so get your orders in early!
Disappointingly, we can find no plans for a release date outside of the US.
Any thoughts on the Puma v1.11 Pink Limited Edition?
Let us know in the comments or, even better, tweet us with the hashtag #ProjectPink as Puma will donate $1 for every time it’s used until the end of October!
