When it comes to ads for football boots, Japan have a storied history of getting them right!
From the epic Mizuno Wave Ignitus video with Keisuke Honda to the Pro-Evo inspired PowerCat J viral, there have been some top TV Spots from the Far East for the best football boots on the planet.
This latest one for the Puma PowerCat 1.12 follows the journey of a PowerCat ball as it makes it’s way across the country – finding some of the least likely Puma PowerCat 1.12 wearers in all of Japan.
Returning back to the feet of Japan and VfL Wolfsburg midfielder Makoto Hasebe, the advert finishes on a high, with a feel-good factor similar to that of the Love = Football’ video from last year’s world cup.
Perhaps most interesting thing to come out of this campaign, though, is a teaser for an upcoming Puma PowerCat 1.12 colourway.
In some of the ads that continue the campaign, Hasebe is passes to a boy wearing an unseen White/Black/Lime version of the new PowerCat, similar to the launch colourway of the original PowerCat 1.10.
What do you think of this nifty new ad? And what are your thoughts on this sleek-looking new colourway?
