Just as adidas always throw their weight behind the Breast Cancer Awareness month campaign in October, Puma are another brand that never fail to release something special for a very worthy cause; this year it’s these stunning Puma evoSPEED 1 – Project Pink.
Over the past few years, Puma Football – as sponsors of the' Women’s United Soccer Association in the US – have gone above and beyond in support of Breast Cancer Awareness with their Project Pink initiative.
As well as mass Twitter Campaigns to pledge money to the fight against cancer and large-scale awareness events, Puma also create some wicked Pink gear to use throughout the month.
In the WUSA, Puma kit out teams in all-pink kits, auction off limited edition match-balls and more – but out favourite item this year is the Puma' evoSPEED 1' – Project Pink.
Whilst there has been no shortage of Pink boots to marvel at this year, Puma have really pulled something special out of the bag with the Puma' evoSPEED 1' – Project Pink' – just as they did last year with the Project Pink v1.11.
As with Puma’s other limited edition evoSPEED releases the Project Pink edition features no performance benefits over the ‘standard’ evoSPEED 1' (though, as we understand it, there will only be a synthetic version made public) – meaning the microfibre upper, TPU outsole and EVERfit cage are all available on this model.
If it does have one ‘special feature’, it would be that Puma have pledged to donate 100% of the profit on each pair into a charity that will be voted for on the Puma website – something I think we can all agree is as good as any new-fangled upper or carbon-fibre outsole!
If you’d like to order a pair, the Puma' evoSPEED 1' – Project Pink' is available on the US Footy-Boots store, but as you can imagine, supplies will be limited!
What do you think of the Puma' evoSPEED 1' – Project Pink?
