PUMA KING SL – BLACK / GREEN

Whilst the King SL is a boot that would look good in just about any colourway, credit should be given to Puma for delivering yet another colourway that looks exceptional in the form of the Puma King SL – Black / Green.

The subject of our recent video review, we can safely say that the 225g King SL‘ is a stand-out performer, and now has a fittingly outstanding colourway in this Black / Green’ combo.

Giving the classic King shape something of a spruce up with this metallic green really helps set the boot apart from the other colourways, whilst the white Formstripe that has been part of the King legacy for over 40 years lands on the SL for the first time here on the Puma King SL‘ – Black / Green.

As well as the metallic green trim on the tongue and insole, the Puma King SL‘ – Black / Green‘ also boasts some nifty silver branding on the toe and ankle collar, in the form of the classic ‘King’ emblem and the more modern ‘King SL’ text.

Dubbed by Thierry Henry and Mikel Arteta as the best boots they’ve ever played in, the Puma King SL‘  has some lofty expectations to meet.

But it’s meagre weight and ‘ supple K-Leather forefoot definitely help these football boots meet those expectations admirably, with the whole cleat managing to be both super-soft and super-light.

Available from August 1st and set to cost £159.99 in the UK and $209.99 in the US, the Puma King SL‘ – Black / Green‘ is far from the cheapest boot on the market. But with a combination of supple K-Leather, modern Puma design and classic King styling, it’s certainly a tempting package.
