Spooky Fact: Did you know there’s a skeleton inside you, right now? PUMA do – and the bones and musculature of the human foot have provided the inspiration for one of the wildest football boot designs we’ve ever seen – the PUMA evoSPEED 1.3 X-Ray LE.
The German brand are always capable of the extraordinary when it comes to the graphics used on their football boots; whether it’s a team-up with a notable African-inspired artist for 2010’s v1-series, or a Dia de los Meurtos look for the last PowerCat, there’s little that’s off the table for the PUMA design team.
However, thePUMA evoSPEED 1.3 X-Ray LE is a easily a cut above all of that, with it’s upper looking more like it belongs in an anatomy textbook than on a football pitch.
PUMA’s evoSPEED has always been a boot that tries to mimic and support the foot as much as possible, with technology like EverFit and AptoLast – we guess this design is the embodiment of all the time PUMA have spent studying the biomechanics of the foot.
The clean white upper and chassis provide a perfect platform for the all-over print to ‘pop’ off of, creating a distinctive look that will look mystifying in a game or eye-catching on a collector’s shelf.
Speaking of collectors, as the PUMA evoSPEED 1.3 X-Ray LE is a limited edition, these are definitely ones to keep an eye on if you’re into that sort of thing.
At 910 pairs, this new drop isn’t the scarcest out there, but boy is it unique. Whether that one-off quality makes them good value for the £175 price tag, however, is up to you.

You’re using the sample’s pic. Puma EvoSPEED X-Ray’s final release have a non-tranlucent outsole
I ordered these and immediately returned them because they did not come with the translucent sole. Look and feel cheep compared to the PurpleYellow Evospeeds.
