PUMA EVOPOWER CAMO

Puma evoPOWER Camo

After the PR-masterclass that was the evoPOWER Stampa, Puma have pressed on with their usual pre-release teasing with the introduction of the Puma evoPOWER Camo.

As we all know, Puma precede every new statement boot ahead of it’s release with a ‘Camo’ edition that will be worn by players in training and matches for a couple of high-profile games to build up the hype for a new launch.

Puma evoPOWER Camo - Instep

This tactic has, in the past, brought us a couple of absolute belters in the form the last two evoSPEED Camo designs – and it looks as though the design bods at Puma have been given similar free license with the new evoPOWER Camo.

Mostly a ghostly grey, the Puma evoPOWER Camo‘s distinctive design is made up of layers upon layers of different sizes of the iconic Puma logo, creating a camo effect that certainly sets it apart from the crows.

Puma evoPOWER Camo - Upper

As you would expect, the Puma evoPOWER Camo' does do a fairly decent job of keeping the new Puma power boot’s features hidden – however, this sucker looks so jam-packed full of new technology, it’s hard not to notice some features.

Puma evoPOWER Camo - Soleplate

The soleplate, for example, has the Puma King’s combination of bladed and conical studs but with a curious mid-foot reinforcement mechanism that is sure to be one of the key weapons in the evoPOWER’s arsenal.

Additionally, the upper is definitely sporting both instep and lateral shooting/control elements and an eye-catching instep visual call-out that looks like tape with circles cut out of it.

Puma evoPOWER Camo - Pair

Puma have gone as far as to say the' Puma evoPOWER Camo' takes its inspiration from the bare foot, with design characteristics that are' unrivalled in the football industry.

It’s certainly the first time we’ve heard of a power boot that’s inspired by a bare foot, but Puma promise their latest' boot is designed to deliver an even greater level of power and accuracy.

Ĺ›A teaser boot always has something' mysterious about it and I am happy to be one of the few that get the chance to play in this' unusual design.

It is always an exciting moment when PUMA present a new boot to me, but this' one is especially cool. I have tested it for a while now and I am thrilled to move into this new' design.ĹĄ – Cesc Fabregas

Puma evoPOWER Camo - Detail

Puma are boxing clever, as you might expect, with the evoPOWER Camo. The boot will be worn for two weeks by Cesc Fabregas, Marco Reus and new Puma star Mario Balotelli – which will also be the timeframe in which the boot will be available to order through selected retailers.

So, if you fancy a pair of the Puma evoPOWER Camo' – be sure to get your orders in before January 16th! If you’re waiting on something more traditional, we’ll have the full reveal of the new Puma evoPOWER that week – so stay tuned!
