Along with everything else at Portsmouth FC, a car used by the players as punishment is up for grabs via eBay.
Portsmouth players had a novel method of branding the worst player performance of each week. The team would vote to select the worst performer, with the unfortunate winner (or is it loser?) having to leave their top of the range set of wheels at the club ground and instead pick up the keys to a three wheeled Robin Reliant.
However, it’s now thought the car is bringing the Premier League club bad luck. So the players have decided to put the car on the market via eBay.
The three-wheeled Robin Reliant is being sold on eBay and, at the time of writing had not received its reserve price of £500.
Here’s the description:
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy a car that has been pimped by top Premiership footballers. It has appeared on Sky Sports News, Soccer AM and across a range of National newspapers. Players such as David James and Sean Davis have been responsible for pimping the car and then driving it to and from training.
It is a three wheel robin reliant painted in the style of the ‘A-Team’ van and has a matching trailer. It has alloy wheels, front/rear spoilers and megaphone on the roof that can produce animal noises, police sirens or simply be used as a loudspeaker.
The original car is a 1992 Reliant Robin LX Tricycle 900cc Petrol, but as you can see from the photo’s it has been transformed into something extremely rare and special. A real collectors item!
The car no longer has tax or MOT. Profits from the sale of this car will benefit local charities.
