It’s everyone’s dream – to see your name up there in lights.
For a brief shining moment, Footy-Boots got the chance to light up the Johannesburg skyline thanks to Nike’s Write the Headline interactive billboards at the Life Centre in South Africa!
Nike asked us what we’d love to say to the England team to let them know all of the Footy-Boots readership are behind them – we opted to call on Wayne Rooney to step up with our rallying cry ’90 Minutes to Glory – Just Roo It!’
And within the hour, our message was being beamed out from the Life-Centre – pretty cool!

write the headline: ronaldo and portugal out of the WC!
Has anyone else noticed that everyone in the Write the Future advert (good though it was) is now out of the World Cup or never even made it?
Further to that its seemed to be a curse for the players involved!!
Rooney – had an woeful WC
Ribery – the same
Drogba – broke his arm
Ronaldo – also had a poor WC
Ronaldinho – Didnt even go
Walcott – Didnt even go
Faberagas – Hasnt really featured
In fact when I think about it, has any Nike player actually had a good World Cup (Torress you can add to that list)? Maybe Fabiano for Brazil possibly? Apart from that its been Adidas’ tournament. All their players excelling: Huguain, Messi, Villa, Forlan etc
i agree with u perry, it´s been called “the curse of the write the future advert”.Have u guys heard about it?
And yeah…adidas players really pulled it off.
