Nike are honouring one of our generation’s true greats with a limited edition football boot, in the form of the Nike Tiempo Legend V Premium – Totti.
Designed to pay homage to one of the most consistent one-club-men in the game, Nike resurrect the tongue on their heritage line for the first time since 2011.
Nike packaging has long included the statement: “Engineered to the exact specifications of championship athletes.”
One of those championship athletes in particular, Francesco Totti, has continued to request the iconic Tiempo tongue on his boots and Nike has delivered for him through the years.
Now, with Totti as Nike Football’s muse, the limited-editionNike Tiempo Legend V Premium – Totti will be available, featuring the Tiempo tongue and honoring the player who wears it.

As well as the tongue, Nike have kitted out the ‘Totti Tiempo’ with a unique graphic on the packaging and sockliner, inspired by Roman warriors and gladiators – sharp-eyed fans might also note a subtle tribute to Totti’s shirt number – 10 – in the mouthpiece of the logo.
A fitting tribute to a player who has fought for countless points and goals at the heart of the eternal city, the Swoosh and Tongue are kitted out in Chrome, not only for a premium finish but also to mirror the silver of armour.
TheNike Tiempo Legend V Premium – Totti features exquisite craftsmanship and quilted Alegria leather – the same material as the Tiempo XX that launched in January last year.
It is protected by Nike Hypershield and resists overstretch, retaining the Tiempo’s timeless shape and performance.
Three-thousand individually numbered pairs of the Tiempo Legend V Premium will be available globally on nike.com and at select retailers March 5.
