After an explosive debut at the start of the year, the Vapor IX is back with a fresh new look in the form of the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX – Neptune Blue / Volt / Pink Flash!
As part of Nike’s summer 2013 range, it’s no surprise to see the Mercurial Vapor IX' in something of a bright and breezy colourway.
After the multi-tonal ‘Fireberry’ and ‘Sunset’ colourways, the Nike' Mercurial Vapor IX' – Neptune Blue / Volt / Pink Flash' takes things down a notch or two with a more subtle Blue fade across the upper.
Speaking of which, Nike’s Speed Control Texture upper has definitely been a hit since launching on the Vapor IX, with many players surprised at the natural flexibility of this distinctively textured boot.
After making a splash on the ' Vapor VIII, the Nike' Mercurial Vapor IX' – Neptune Blue / Volt / Pink Flash' also features the All Conditions Control technology. ACC is designed to offer another level of grip on the ball when playing in poor conditions, allowing players a more consistent year-round feel when playing.
Whilst the huge Nike branding on the instep is still growing on us here at Footy-Boots.com, we’re definitely enjoying the clean white laces and classic Volt tick on the Nike' Mercurial Vapor IX' – Neptune Blue / Volt / Pink Flash.
Additionally, we’re usually not big fans of the chunky white plastic soleplate, but for some reason it just seems to work on this colourway.
The soleplate has also' received' an update on the Vapor IX. Rather than construction the chassis from a single piece of glass fibre, this incarnation of Nike’s long-serving speed football boots use two' separate' pieces for a more flexible forefoot that doesn’t compromise on energy return.
Unlike the two launch colourways, expect Mercurial stars like Ronaldo, Zlatan, Gotze, Walcott, Hazard, Welbeck, Ribery and more to have this colourway available to them.
You can buy the Nike' Mercurial Vapor IX' – Neptune Blue / Volt / Pink Flash' from March 28th, with an RRP of £155 UK and $224.99 US.
sweetest mercurial ix’s yet
I like the blue and out of all the new mercurials, I would actually consider buying this one but the AWFUL pink “NIKE” on the insides absolutely spoil them for me. Nike has make this look like the kids edition. Awful Nike… simply awful.
