Nike launch new metallic colourways for all their silos. Introducing the Nike Liquid Chrome Pack.
Nike have refreshed the Hypervenom, Mercurial, Tiempo and Magista collections with a metallic liquid chrome effect named the Liquid Chrome pack. This pack succeeds the Electro Flare Pack released in September.
Debuting on the feet of the professionals this week, this range goes on general sale at the beginning of December.
The new Tiempo Legend 6 Pure Platinum colourway is also part of the Liquid Chrome Pack, though when you look at the colourway of the Tiempo 6, it doesn’t seem to fit in with the rest of the collection.
The Nike press release said:
We wanted to create something that looks immovable — as if made of metal — but comes to life in motion.
Light reflects off the boot when it comes in contact with the ball and produces almost a crumpling effect.
Metallics are inherently slippery, which is problematic in a sport where the colour is in constant contact with the ball.
It took close collaboration with our materials team to craft colourways that live up to our strict performance standards. We knew this was a look our players were drawn to, but we weren’t going to do it if we couldn’t do it right. These boots look amazing without any compromise.
There are also versions for the Vapor X, Magista Opus and Hypervenom Phinish – for those who prefer the low cut option and for indoor/astro specialists the NikeFootballX turf and indoor court offerings for MercurialX, MagsitaX and HypervenomX are updated.
