Customisable Nike Vapor 6 AD

Last week we revealed that Nike had added the new Vapor VI to their Nike ID programme and we asked you to send in your personalised Nike ID designs to us. Well you did and here are the results…

The email inbox at Footy Boots HQ has been swamped over the last week and due to the sheer volume of'  submissions, we’ve had to pick out just a few examples to share with you, but thanks to everyone for getting involved. So without further ado, here are our picks.

1. Submitted by ScaleyFish:

We liked the base colour of Lyon Blue, paired with the Solar Red secondary colour. The laces, also in Solar Red also look fab without the lace shroud.

2. Submitted by PalmaJohnny:

A Metallic Platinum base with Club Purple, finished with the Total Orange swoosh. Nike style….

3. Submitted by Jeevan:'

Influenced by Manchester United’s home colours, Jeevan opted for the Metallic Platinum base, mixed with Challenge Red and Black. Nani anyone?

4. Submitted by Stefan:

This was our pick of Stefan’s designs. We chose this angle as we like the fresh look of the Neptune Blue with the Vibrant Yellow swoosh.

5. Submitted by KidAndy:

The contrast of the Challenge red laces and swoosh with Dark Obsidian hit the spot on this design. KidAndy was inspire with Arsenal away kits in his design.

6. Submitted by PazeMe:

PazeMe has dubbed his design PIPAR as in short for “PInk PAntheR”. One for Ribery perhaps?

7. Submitted by PengKid:

PengKid designed these football boots for Theo Walcott. All Metallic Platinum and Solar Red.

8. Submitted by KennyK:

Our last design from KennyK was inspired by the Footy Boots website.'  Good job Kenny, a Footy Boots T Shirt will be on its way to you.

I think the Vapor is much better without the lace cover, looks more attractive. I actually like the footyboots boot colors maybe nike should make this boot for and release it for us

For starters, there are not many colours and choices to play with.

I feel that for design 7, the swoosh will not blend in well with the secondary colour. In other word the swoosh and secondary colour should not be the same.

my personal favourite will be Lyon Blue for both primary and secondary, with yellow swoosh.

i think that nike should make a cheaper alternative to vapor 6.
    Apart from the mercurial miracle
we should have the mercurial steam, like in the old mercurial series, because i have become of the mercurial vapor with the covered laces.

    Great! My boot got picked

I’m glad my designs came through after numerous emails saying that Footy Boots hadn’t recieved them.

I got my inspiration from England Home Kit; for Walcott to match his strip.

I made these boots based on Walcott as I was in awe of Walcott’s super sub appearance against Barcelona in the first leg of their quarter final tie.

I’m sure you wil agree Walcott has sealed his place on the plane to South Africa.

I hope to be seeing ripping up the Soccer City turf with these on in the World Cup Final (And I’m sure the whole nation is aswell!)

I would also like to thank Footy Boots for featuring my boots in this article; as it has been of mine to appear on Footy Boots.

You have made a 12 year old very happy 😀

since i only wears white, the process are easier for me.
however, having tried possibly all white combination available on nikeID, i’m sorry to say to myself that none of them really suited me.

    @PengKid: hey, i’m happy for u lad! cheers 😀
happiness always made a great fuel for me to score goals. just remember that feeling when u’re 1 on 1 with the goalie and everything would be just fine (a depressed goalie reacts much much much slower than a happy striker 😉 )

i like palmajohnny’s the best. the white, purple, and orange colorway just goes so well. kinda reminds me of the limited edition white/purple vapor IV’s.

  7. says: Fifinho

i swear i sent in a design also with the “traditional footy-boots colours” in mind 🙁 haha oh well then, i personally like design number 6 the most

  8. says: Melissa

I personally hate the colour nike chooses for its boots.. like the bright green, the yellow and the new prurple ones. I think also they have killed the total90s with their new design and colour ways. I liked the red and silver nike superflys that C.Ronaldo wore at one stage, the black and yellow wasn’t bad either. Out of the designs above I like #3
