Having opted mostly for bright and bold colours for their newest silo over the last six months, the brains at the Swoosh have gone for something a touch more subtle on the' Nike Hypervenom Phantom – Blue / Volt / Black.
The first Hypervenom update of a World Cup year, the Hypervenom Phantom looks like a different beast altogether in this latest update, boasting a black and blue upper that gives the boot a distinctive look.
Nike have also picked out their branding with their signature bright Volt colour that, for once, isn’t overused and picks out the Swooshes and Hypervenom call-outs in all the right ways, giving a great balance to the colourway.
We already know this boot looks great on the pitch as Robert Lewandowski and' Kevin Prince Boateng are just two of the top Nike players who couldn’t resist breaking these out of the box a little early.
One of our favourite boots from last year, the Nike Hypervenom Phantom is an incredibly interesting release.
Picking up the baton from the tech-heavy T90 Laser series, the Hypervenom does away with gadgets and instead offers a pure feel on the ball and improved agility.
A NikeSkin upper builds on a mesh base for incredible flexibility and feel for the ball, whilst the unique soleplate is equally flexible for a responsive ride in tight spots on the pitch.
All that is wrapped around the X1.1 last for Nike’s most anatomical fit to date.
