A Premier League Trophy, a new Nike kit deal and now and brand new home shirt for the new season, it’s fair to say that Chelsea have it good right now.
After a very successful season, qualifying for the Champions League and of course lifting that incredible League trophy, Chelsea and Nike football have now released there fresh new home kit. The classic blue colourway of Chelsea sits in a very nice, clean design, marking the first time in their 112 year history that the Blues have worn that famous swoosh on their chest.
I would go into great detail explaining the design to the jersey but to be quite honest, there isn’t much at all. In fact, the new blue top holds a really simple, clean design which I am a huge fan of. Although the design is simple, the performance technology isn’t, with Nike introducing their Aeroswift Technology which we have seen in recent releases.
The tech material acts as a performance system that enhances breathability, mobility and speed – and represent Chelsea’s most advanced kits to date. Nike state that the new strips are advanced pieces of performance design, adding that zone ventilation panels have been added to allow players to play at their maximum capacity. Optimally-textured fabric is also built in to reduce clinging, with lightweight construction throughout.
This tech design beauty is finished off with blue shorts. Featuring white stripes on the flanks which expand when the player is in motion, enhancing both flexibility and ventilation during play. These expanding stripes are also found on the sides of the top in the same blue colour of Chelsea.
