Nike have made huge strides in producing ‘greener’ products over the past two years (See: their recycled football boots and shirts.) but now they’re stepping up their game with a new ‘Better World’ initiative.
Nike have often had their hand in many cool philanthropic projects; from their considered design recycling project, to their role as main sponsor of the Homeless World Cup, they’ve been supporting and developing projects that many didn’t even know the big tick were involved in.
Well now the American sports giant is bringing all it’s good work under one banner; ‘Nike Better World’.
Nike Better World will have a prominent place on the Nike website, but the main drive of the initiative is to get people to their new Facebook page, so you can keep up with (and get involved in) all of their top projects.
To prove they’re serious, the viral for Nike Better World isn’t a budget-busting mega-commercial (which Nike have become famous for); instead, the video above is made from clips of old Nike ads, given a new voice and purpose.
There’s some classic football-focused ones in there, if your eyes are quick enough to spot them! We’ve clocked the Brazilian changing room ad from 2000, Write the Future and even the controversial Nike vs Ninjas for the old Geo ball; how many can you spot?
