adidas and the DFB have revealed the brand new Germany Shirt ahead of their upcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers!
As well as giving the public it’s first look at the new Germany Shirt, adidas also revealed that this shirt will be the one that Lahm, Schweinsteiger & Co. will be wearing should they qualify for the Euro 2012 Championships in Poland and the Ukraine.
Despite uncannily timing the reveal of the new shirt to coincide with the German National team’s return to action in a European Championship qualifier this Friday, this' new Germany Shirt will not actually be worn competitively until November the 11th.
Germany can assure their presence in Poland and Ukraine with a win over neighbours Austria this Friday, which will no doubt help wit pre-orders of the new Germany Shirt.
The kit itself is a typically brilliant design from adidas, who always put their all into designing the uniforms of their native country.
A classic overlapping collar sets the trend for the hit, which uses a white-with-black theme that hasn’t gone wrong on any' new Germany Shirt for adidas since just about forever.
adidas have also found a way to subtly integrate the colours of the national flag across the torso of the kit, in the form of 3 hairline-thin stripes that sweep diagonally across the' new Germany Shirt – also echoing adidas’ famous three-striped branding.
“Having a new jersey is always something special,” says captain, Philipp Lahm whilst modelling the new kit at the launch.
“The new design is very elegant, and the fabric feels really good. Visually, we are already well prepared for the European Championships.”
As anyone who watched' Die Mannschaft take on Brazil last month can attest, the youthful, new-look Germany is a every bit as special as the new kit.
Even without Real Madrid’s Mesuet Ozil, baby-faced assassins like Mario GÄ‚¶tze and Andr' SchĂĽrrle proved more than level-headed enough to dispatch Neymar & Co’s Samba boys.
What do you think to the new Germany Shirt?
Are the Deutschlanders looking like early favourites to take the crown away from Spain next summer?
Let us know in the comments!
I think it looks really good.
despite you’ll have nice shirts, POLAND will beat you.
I kinda don’t like the font of the number but the overall the shirt is great! 🙂

Germany and German teams like Bayern Munich always seem to get the best shirts lol (and yes i am aware adidas is a German brand)
Personally though i really love the subtle detailing of the flag’s colours in the diagonal stripes which was similarly used in the last home kit
Do someone know the name of the used font?
