After – let’s face it – one of the all-time great Mizuno colourways for the World Cup, Mizuno are back again with a fresh update for the end of 2014.
Dubbed the Mizuno Morelia Neo – Forest Green / Orange / White, it’s fair to say these football boots will definitely have a stand-out look on the pitch, as green is not often a colour we see embraced by cleat designers.
Definitely splitting opinion around Footy-Boots.com HQ this morning, there’s plenty of contrasting thoughts on what these football boots have to offer in the looks stakes.
The majority seem to fall on the side of liking this fresh new look – this shade of green is a colour we can’t think to have seen on a Mizuno cleat before, so to see it brought in here is pretty welcome.
There is, however, a small contingent of the office who are convinced Mizuno’s design team are paying homage to Michelangelo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with this colourway. Cowabunga indeed.
The good news is that, whichever side you happen to fall on when it comes to the colour, the performance of the Mizuno Morelia Neo – Forest Green / Orange / White will continue to be top-notch.
One of our favourite boots of the last few years, the Mizuno Morelia Neo packs a washable K-Leather forefoot, with a synthetic leather heel.
This style of construction allows Mizuno to maintain their legendary touch and feel in the main contact zones, whilst keeping the boot light and waterproof in the rear.
A new style soleplate with conical studs rounds out the Morelia Neo’s package, which tips the scales at 180g per shoe.
What do you think of the Mizuno Morelia Neo – Forest Green / Orange / White?
