After a couple of bold colourways incorporating a lot of blues and oranges, Mizuno are taking things down a notch on their latest Morelia Neo with a classic Black and White upper enhanced with a splash of fresh lime.
Reminiscent of one of Nike’s more popular Tiempo Legend IV updates, the Mizuno Morelia Neo undoubtedly suits this colourway down to a tee; the fusion of traditional colours with the new and exciting a hallmark of the Neo’s design ethos.
Mizuno’s lightest-ever K-Leather boot has scarcely looked better than in this colourway, with the super-soft washable leather forefoot showcasing it’s quality in deep black.
Contrasting that is the lime on the collar, laces and soleplate that ‘Neo’ branding on the heel cup and classic Morelia tongue.
When we reviewed the Mizuno Morelia Neo‘ almost a year ago we described them as a ‘benchmark’ in football boot design; offering heritage style at a 178g weight point and performance that stacks up well to the modern game.
With conical studs and a super-thin upper, there’s not a lot of tech for players who crave audacious design, but in terms of lightweight performance and a lovely level of ‘purity’ in a boot, the Morelia Neo is tough to look past when listing options that meet that criteria.
The Mizuno Morelia Neo in Black / Lime‘ has been available to order in the Far East and South America for some time, but has yet to land in Europe.
Excitingly, it is one of the options available to US boot-addicts to kick of Mizuno USA’s new Soccer website, where North Americans can pre-order this colourway from today.
Given the US Mizuno site won’t begin shipping these until early December, we’re excepting a full European announcement on this colourway before the end of November – so watch this space! Or if you’re in the US, you can order, here
