Few boots have gotten the imagination raring like the Mizuno Morelia Neo, and having had three colourways since it’s December launch, it’s understandable that Mizuno would want to keep that momentum going with another going into a summer packed with football!
And whilst we’ve had nothing concrete out of Mizuno HQ in Japan, the popular brand did reveal this unseen new boot on the feet of Valencia star Jonas on their Facebook page yesterday.
Recently signed to the ever-expanding stable of Mizuno athletes, the Brazilian star was in action – and scored – during Valencia’s 4-2 defeat at the hands of Atletico Madrid in the Europa League Semi-finals.
Ahead of the match, Mizuno wished their newest star luck in the game by posting this photo up, showing the Los Che forward in a mysterious Black /Silver / Yellow pair of boots.
Jonas officially endorses the Supersonic Wave range of boots, so his appearance in – what look to be – the Mizuno Morelia Neo, is something of a curiosity.
The only other explanation is this is our first look at a whole new boot from Mizuno (Supersonic Wave III, anybody?) but the shape of the external heel counter and distinctive cut of the tongue make us reasonably sure they are the Neo.
Either way, Mizuno can put us down for a pair, as the Yellow really looks the business against the classic black K-Leather and Mizuno’s silver branding!
What do you think to this potential new colourway?
