Mizuno can count their 2014 as a another solid one; growing from strength-to-strength every season, the Japanese brand’s last twelve months have revolved around the Basara.
A new style of speed boot built around traction, acceleration and stabilisation, the Mizuno Basara TC-001 will kick off 2015 in style with this new Neon Orange / Pansy colorway.
Having turned heads with the Yellow and Diva Blue launch selection, Mizuno seem to be keeping up the theme with another bright combo.
The upper of the Basara this time out is an unmissable Neon Orange, complimented by purple ‘pansy’ branding on the forefoot, instep and lining.
Already debuted on the feet of Shinji Okazaki whilst on international duty, don’t expect many players to be wearing these football boots on the biggest pitches in Europe.
However, it is fair to say the Mizuno Basara TC-001 is developing a solid following with players who value maximum comfort as well as unbelievable traction.
During our review of the boot, we found that the Basara’s features really deliver – a new style of studs offer up superb grip on natural ground, whilst the D-Flex groove in the mid foot allows the cleat to bend, allowing more of the boot to make more contact on the turf for supreme acceleration.
The Primeskin upper works with a hidden R-Fibre lining that allows the boot to bend and crease without over-stretching, resulting in a lockdown fit with a soft, forgiving feel.
Launching early 2015, what do you think of the Mizuno Basara TC-001 – Neon Orange / Pansy?
