David Beckham’s loan spell at AC Milan could be extended until the end of June if the Italian club get their way.
The former England captain should be returning to the MLS and LA Galaxy next week but so impressed have been Milan with Beckham’s form that they now want to keep him until the end of the season.
Beckham is 2 years in to a 5 year deal in the USA and only joined Milan in the first instance to keep up his fitness in a bid to win back his place in the England squad.
The Italian club’s vice-president Adriano Galliani said:
Negotiations are getting more intense.
I hope to arrange for him to stay here at least until 30th June on loan. Then he could return to Los Angeles and come back in January.
It’s a complicated path, as we have always known, but I’m trying.
