Tottenham manager Juande Ramos has hinted that England international defender Ledley King might be surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane next season.
The injury prone defender has made just 10 appearances for Spurs this campaign, the last of them being the 4 – 4 draw with Chelsea a month ago.
“After five or six months here I know the squad really well and what they are capable of,” said Ramos.
And when asked whether King, 27, would continue as captain in 2008 / 2009, Ramos added: “We’ll have to see what state he is in next season.”
27 year old King has a long standing knee problem and won’t play again this season.
His place as captain has been taken by Robbie Keane.
