Fabio Capello has announced his latest 23 man squad for the upcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers, and the shock inclusion is Bolton Wanderers Kevin Davies.
After the international retirement of Emile Heskey and the injury of Fulham’s Bobby Zamora, Capello has now turned to Bolton’s powerful veteran striker Kevin Davies.
Davies has long been an outside shout for an England place due to his consistent performances for Bolton, but just last week appeared to have resigned himself to never pulling on a jersey for the Three Lions.
Kevin Davies has been a favourite of football boots spotters thanks to his stubborn refusal to upgrade his old adidas adiPure I’s!
We’ll be really interested to see if he keeps his classic football boots, or whether adidas will kit him out in something brand new for the matches this coming weekend.
