COLE OUT FOR SEASON

Joe Cole out for seasonJoe Cole has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligaments and will be out for the rest of the season.

Cole sustained the injury in Chelsea’s 4 – 1 win in midweek away to Southend in the FA Cup.

As well as missing the remainder of the campaign for Chelsea, Cole will also be absent for England’s World Cup qualifier with Ukraine in April plus the friendly matches against Spain and Slovakia.

Reacting to the news of the loss of his club and international team mate, John Terry said:

grafite We’re all behind Coley to get fit as soon as possible. He’s going to be a big miss for us and I keep on saying he’s the one who really opens things up in tight moments.

He did it again on Wednesday against Southend. What a pass he produced for Salomon Kalou’s goal.

We’re all gutted for him and we know how much it means to him to be playing. No-one will be more hurt at missing games through injury.

But one thing we all know is that he’ll work just as hard off the pitch to get fit as he does on it.

  1. Talking about bad luck, poor big Phill, things are going from bad to worst for him. To many injuries and no more money to buy more players. Big Phill come to back to the Brazil and coach the squad again. PLEASE!
