The former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho might not be the new coach of Inter Milan after all.
The club President, Massimo Moratti, has denied reports that Mourinho will be in charge for the start of next season.
There’s been plenty of speculation over the past few days that a deal was done and dusted but Moratti said today “Who knows how many times I have heard this recently. It’s not true and there’s no further need to deny it.”
Current coach Roberto Mancini stated after their UEFA Champions League exit to Liverpool that he would leave the club – only to retract the statement a few days later.
Despite their disappointing exploits in Europe, Inter are currently leading Serie A, 6 points clear of Roma after a 1 – nil away win at Torino last weekend.
