NEW SETBACK FOR DYER

West Ham’s Kieron Dyer has suffered a setback in his return from a broken leg.

Kieron Dyer who has made just two appearances for West Ham since his £6 million transfer from Newcastle last summer, his last appearance being a Carling Cup tie back in August 2007.

Dyer was stretchered off in that game, having broken his leg in two places and has been on a rehabilitation program ever since. He had hopes of returning before the end of the season but that looks unlikely now.

Alan Curbishley:

Kieron DyerDyer is suffering. He’s actually running and doing okay but the problem is that where they’ve inserted the pin for the fracture, that’s causing some irritation. It’s not the actual fracture. He’s overcome that bit.
