BARCELONA TIE UP IBRAHIMOVIC DEAL

Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovic has moved from Italy to Spain and has signed a five-year contract with Barcelona.

The Catalan giants have paid £40 million for the player and the deal also sees Samuel Eto’o moving to Ibrahimovic’s old club Inter Milan as does Aleksandr Hleb who makes the switch on loan. The agreement includes a buy-out clause of £216 million.

Speaking to the club web site, Ibrahimovic, who will wear the number 9 shirt, said:

ibra moves to barca It feels like I’m living a dream now. It was not easy for me in the last weeks.

I’m not coming here to be Samuel Eto’o, I’m somebody else, somebody new, but I will try to achieve as much as Eto’o, or even more.

Ibrahimovic was the top scorer in Serie A last season, while Eto’o was equally prolific as Barca clinched an unprecedented treble after landing the La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League crowns.

But with 28 year old Eto’o only having one year left on his current deal, Barca were willing to sell.

Barça had to get rid off Eto’o this season, because otherwise next season with his contract coming to an end he could end up leaving the club for nothing. I believe that is great signing by Barça and now they are stronger than ever.

Its because Eto’o is a constant locker problem and was never even supposed to be a part of last years team. Plus also, and this is just a theory, Ibra is sponsored by nike which sponsers Barcelona while Eto’o wears Puma. The main reason though was the locker room issues an his inability to get along with his teammates.

I think it was a bit much for Ibra, but he is an amazing striker and I believe he can do as good and better than Eto’o. Thats only my opinion though. Zach, by the way, Ibra is wearing the Tiempo Legend III, there are only Air Legend I and II, no III. Nike took out the Air Zoom technology for the 3rd generation of the Legend.

Ibra worth eto’o, hleb, and 40 mill.. I dnt know about that. But definately a good buy. It shakes up all of the game plans other teams may have set up for Barca..

    Definately champs of europe again.

    Go BARCA..!

Barca knew what they were doing even tho I think it’s dumb/smart. As Eduardo said Eto’o is a bad vibe in the locker room but a terrific player on the pitch. To wait next year and buy Ibrahimovic for 80 mill and let off eto’o for no money…No instead they are paying half the price they would have paid if they didn’t use eto’o. Theoretically this is the 1st or 2nd most expensive transfer this summer. Let’s hope that Zlatan does have the bad vibe in the locker.

Zlatan is probably not wearing the Superfly’s because they are quite possibly the most unreliable, uncomfortable, and most over-rated boot on the market.

    Just my bias opinion though.
